When little clown Tiko wakes up with no memory in a destroyed circus tent, he must face six twisted virtues, each a distorted reflection of themselves, in order to regain his inner balance and learn to laugh again.
The story of Tiko:
Tiko is a clown who has lost his laughter and joy due to unforeseen circumstances.
As Tiko awakens one day, they open their eyes to find, that the world they once knew has been turned upside down.
They suddenly find themselves all alone in the circus, and are set on the quest to search for the lost circus members. When they finally come across the director, they are faced with their new reality:
He has become unrecognizable. The director's grimaced face is halfway hidden behind a mask. A malicious smile edged into his flesh.
The once helpful puppets are out of control, attacking Tiko with everything they got.
But is Tiko brave enough to face their own friends and fears and learn how to handle them? Will they be able to lead everyone back into the light? Even themselves?

"Tiko" is a game aimed at players over 16 years old, that have an interest in both horror and psychology. Combining elements of Roguelikes with Visual Storytelling, makes it ideal for those who enjoy more dimension within their game.

What is behind Tiko:
“Tiko” centers themes of positive thinking, hope and optimism, even when everything feels pointless and too far gone.
It demonstrates that happiness isn’t reachable through toxic positivity or willful ignorance, but through facing yourself at your most vulnerable and allowing yourself to feel the emotions necessary to move on.
During the gameplay and passive storytelling the player learns about self betterment through the means of self awareness and -discovery. By standing up against the manifestations of their inner demons and negative thought patterns, Tiko discovers piece by piece how to let go of their pain and see themselves in a new light. Every encounter, decision and shortcoming is an important part of the process towards healing.
As the player joins Tiko on their journey, it becomes clear that healing isn’t linear. It’s pieced together out of many small revelations, that are formed through trial, error and even relapse.
Who is behind Tiko:
The game was produced by four game design students, who thoroughly researched the definition of positive thinking in psychology. Their combined enthusiasm and inspiration led to the creation of “Tiko”.
All assets have been hand drawn, the characters self animated and voice lines recorded without the use of any AI.
